REALLY stupid pair burgles a CCTV store |
| CCTV systems don't always prevent someone from breaking in.... but they sure do a great job of documenting the event for arrest and prosecution purposes after the fact. Remember - professional DVR systems like the PC-Witness Pro, can notify the store owner in real time via phone, beeper, or email to a crime in progress. The store owner can immediately remote-into their store, and view live or recorded video, then being able to instantly relay a full clothing and vehicle description to the police, thus dramatically reducing the likelihood of the perps successfully getting away with the crime. |

| Good use of IR emitting cameras and a DVR system. CCTV system would have captured the act even if the perps would not have turned on the lights. |

Hell bent crook robs store under guard |
| Notice the high contrast of the colors, and the sharp picture - obviously a digital CCTV system. Perfect example of how irrational a drug-crazed perp can be! Jittery, picks a store that has a armed guard, and only gets away with some chump change. Notice that the guard puts the gun down, then is allowed to pick it up and take cover. |

Robbery Suspects Caught on Surveillance Camera |
| Los Angeles police detectives are requesting the public's help in identifying two suspects caught on surveillance camera during a robbery at a car wash in Boyle Heights. On Friday, March 16, 2007, at about 8:10 PM, two suspects walked into the business office of Tio's Car Wash, located at 3442 East Whittier Boulevard. One of the suspects armed with a handgun and ordered the business manager to the floor, while the second suspect removed money from the cash register. Both suspects were described as male Hispanics. The armed suspect was 6' tall, 230 lbs., 20 to 25 years of age with thick black hair and a thin mustache. He was wearing a black jacket, white striped shirt with green pants and white shoes. The second suspect was about 5'7" tall, 150 lbs., also about 20 to 25 years of age. He was wearing all dark clothing and had a shaved head. Anyone who recognize these suspects is asked to call Hollenbeck Robbery Detectives at 323-526-3134. | Alleged robbery at Ledroit Park Market at 1901 4th St NW on July 10 at 2:00 pm. You can tell that this is a digital CCTV system for two reasons: 1) clean recording with good detail & 2) reads HHD 100% in lower left corner. It's surprising how long this robbery lasts. |
